The Bhaskara Vilasam vaidyasala was established in the year 1941, founded by Vaidya Kalanidhi N.Bhaskaran Nair, who was a reputed eye specialist. As the first qualified ayurvedic physician in Nedumangad Taluk, he tried to do something beneficial for the sufferers of his village. His main aim was to provide specialized treatments for the patients and he prepared genuine Ayurvedic medicines mainly for the treatment of his own patients.

In 1983, erstwhile Bhaskara Vilasam Ayurveda Vaidyasala had changed to partnership firm business, by admitting his sons and daughter and renamed as Bhaskaravilasam Vaidyasala.

The motto of the firm is to manufacture and supply genuine and high quality Ayurvedic medicines and to give best Ayurvedic treatment to the patient. Initially we were concentrating on patient within Nedumangad Taluk and our tactics were fruitful. Now we have patrons even from abroad.

We have valid licenses issued by Drugs Controller Department, Excise Department, Industries Department etc. It is our privilege to say that we have got the G.M.P certification from Central government also. Our firm is approved for the medical reimbursement to the central/state government employees. We also have been granted with the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Certification of Ayurveda by the state Government.

Our latest project is a new inpatient section named as Bhaskara Vilasam Nursing Home, where we offer treatments like Panchakarma, Dhara, Pizhichil, Steam bath etc. in moderate rates. The activities of Nursing home are safe in the hands of a team of eminent, experienced and dedicated doctors.

We have our own medicinal garden gifted with the rare and important medicinal plants that are indispensible for ayurvedic treatment. As a branch of that we take care of a wide medicinal plant nursery. The plant siblings are supplied to the local small farmers to cultivate and we are the sole consumers for their products. There is a team of experienced and skilled laborers in the manufacturing departments.
